GH has prided itself on its in house annual travel insurance policy, the Yachtsman’s Gold since its inception in 1996 as a multi trip scheme this policy has been designed with the yachting community in mind and aims to provide you with the very best sailing travel insurance. From the casual sailor to the professional crewman this policy is able to cater to the needs of this specialized and highly demanding past time. However the Yachtsman’s Gold multi trip policy also caters for all types of travel including business and winter skiing trips and as such is not just for the sailors amongst us. It is an annual travel policy covering a wide range of leisure activities including water skiing, scuba diving and even provides for the professional crew members. The standard policy provides 60 days away any one trip throughout the year of cover with options to increase up to 365 days away. As the name suggests this is a gold policy, therefore the benefits are greater than you would find under a standard travel policy, such as up to £5,000 payable in account of cancellation and disruption-including yacht charter, race, rally or event booking fees. Up to £5,000 in additional travel and accommodation expenses as a result of total loss, quarantine or major damage and resultant repairs to accommodation, including yacht and up to £5,000, 000 for medical repatriation expenses and £3,000 for baggage and personal effects its no wonder the policy has begun to form a reputation within sailing circles that has really helped to put GH on the map as one of the foremost suppliers of sailing insurance.
